What We Do
What Hasn't Been DonePews are filled with people whose lives have been touched by AIDS,who sit silently, fearing to share their pain, because AIDS is "not spoken here." Many others are absent from pews because they can no longer worship with people who ignore their hurt and condemn those who are suffering. The response to the AIDS pandemic by the people of faith has falloen short of the compassion taught by the world's greatest religions. The call to love one another needs to receive greater attention. People of all ages, colors, income levels, backgrounds and beliefs are infected with the HIV virus. No faith community or tradition has been spared. As we continue to become infected, our need for compassnate outreach grows. Nearly 10,000 citizens in the Tampa Bay area have been infected with HIV/AIDS, and many have died feeling unloved and alone. |
